Community Grand Marshal
Our Community Grand Marshals are local leaders whose advocacy and contributions have made a lasting impact on Chicago’s LGBTQ+ community — and on society as a whole.
For 2025, with the support of community input, PRIDEChicago proudly welcomed Dr. Maya Green and Dr. Catherine Creticos — two trailblazers in healthcare and LGBTQ+ advocacy — as our Community Grand Marshals.
PRIDEChicago invites your nominations for 2026 honorees. Participating in the nomination process helps bring people together, celebrate resilience, and shine a spotlight on the remarkable contributions of our community.
Nomination Form
Use this form to highlight an individual who embodies the spirit of Pride, elevates voices, and expands opportunity for all. Share their inspiring story and impact, helping us recognize and honor the champions of courage and compassion in our community.
The nomination process is open from October 1 – December 31, 2025. The final selection for Community Grand Marshals will be made by the PRIDEChicago Board of Directors and announced in April 2026. Both self-nominations and nominations submitted by organizations or individuals are welcome.
2025 Grand Marshals
In a historic first, a local community organization served as the parade’s inaugural “Out Front” Leader: TaskForce Prevention & Community Services, a West Side-based LGBTQ+ youth health and wellness group, was honored for its decades of critical service, advocacy, and support—particularly to underserved communities.
Following TaskForce were the 2025 Community Grand Marshals, Dr. Maya Green and Dr. Catherine Creticos—two trailblazers in healthcare and LGBTQ+ advocacy. Both were selected through a public nomination process, and Dr. Creticos became the first ally ever to serve as Grand Marshal in the history of the parade.
