Community Grand Marshal

Nominate

Our Community Grand Marshals are local individuals who possess a strong role in advocacy and have made significant contributions to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender community of Chicago or to society at large.

All-new in 2025, with the help of community input, PRIDEChicago will select individuals to honor in the 54th annual Chicago Pride Parade.

Participating in the nomination process and supporting the Community Grand Marshal can also help bring people together and foster a sense of unity, highlighting the resilience of the LGBTQ+ community and the contributions of its members.

2024 Grand Marshals

Three prominent couples served as Grand Marshals for the 53rd annual Chicago Pride Parade. Comedian Fortune Feimster and her wife, Jax Smith, served as celebrity Grand Marshals. The two met at Chicago Pride in 2015, just days after the Supreme Court’s historic ruling for nationwide marriage equality.

Feimster and Smith were joined by Community Grand Marshals Art Johnston and José Pepe Peña, longtime LGBTQ+ activists and owners of Sidetrack, and high-profile transgender couple and community organizers Myles and Precious Brady-Davis.
