The 54th annual Chicago Pride Parade brought several hundred thousand people to the streets of Lakeview in a powerful, community-driven celebration of LGBTQ+ pride, joy, and resiliency.
Kicking off on Sunday, June 29, the parade began with the thunderous arrival of Bikes and Mics and Dykes on Bikes, setting the tone for a day filled with visibility, celebration, and unity.
The theme, United in Pride, underscored the importance of coming together to celebrate diversity and champion love, equity, and solidarity across all identities.
In a historic first, a local community group led the parade as the inaugural “Out Front” Leader—a new tradition honoring grassroots impact. TaskForce Prevention & Community Services, a West Side-based LGBTQ+ youth health and wellness organization, was selected for its decades-long commitment to advocacy and support for underserved LGBTQ+ youth.
Following TaskForce, the parade honored its 2025 Community Grand Marshals, Dr. Maya Green and Dr. Catherine Creticos—two healthcare leaders chosen by public nomination for their lasting contributions to LGBTQ+ health, equity, and community empowerment.
The 2025 Chicago Pride Parade was a vibrant display of strength, solidarity, and love—and a reminder that when we are united in pride, we are unstoppable.
