The Legacy Project will induct Chicago LGBTQ+ icon and activist Henry Gerber—founder of the Society for Human Rights, the first LGBTQ+ rights organization in the U.S.—into the Legacy Walk outdoor museum on Halsted Street. A streetscape dedication ceremony takes place Saturday, October 11, 2025, 2:00–2:30 p.m. at 3311 N. Halsted (FREE), followed by a (21+) reception 3:00–5:00 p.m. at Sidetrack ($25).
