Ricky A. Moats, currently serving as the Head Production Electrician at Drury Lane Theatre in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois. In this capacity, he collaborates with artists and designers from across the globe, bringing together unique perspectives and creative experience to develop and realize Broadway-scale productions. Through this collaborative process, he helps shape performances that are both visually compelling and artistically rich, ensuring that Chicagoland audiences experience world-class theater influenced by a range of global voices.

In addition to his professional endeavors, Ricky serves as an Advisory member for the Board of Directors of Chicago Dance CRASH. He actively collaborates with the executive director, artistic director, and board members and committees to drive positive progress for the organization. These efforts enable the organization to strategically advance through fundraising initiatives, meticulous event planning, and impactful community engagement and outreach efforts. Furthermore, Ricky is an Auxiliary Board Member of PRIDEChicago, where he volunteers to assist in organizing the parade logistics, volunteer teams, and other aspects.

Ricky has an educational background that includes a B.F.A. in theatre design and technology with a focus on theatre and production management, as well as a minor in dance from West Virginia University. Additionally, he pursued further education at Boston University, where he obtained an M.F.A. in Production Management and an M.S. in Arts Administration. Ricky also has acquired several certificates from OSHA related to health and safety focusing in the entertainment and general industry and has obtained a certificate in contract law from Harvard University.
