Pride Parade
The Chicago Pride Parade is one of the largest and longest-running Pride Parades in the world, with roots tracing back to the Gay Liberation March of 1970.
Organized to commemorate the historic Stonewall uprising, this annual event has evolved from a modest gathering of 150 participants into a grand celebration that draws nearly one million attendees and is broadcast live on ABC7 Chicago.
As with most Pride events in the city, the Parade is extremely well-organized, ensuring a seamless experience for participants and spectators alike. Yet, it retains the spontaneity, vibrancy, and joyous energy that define a celebration of love, and unity.
It’s no surprise that Chicagoans love the Parade!
