SUMMARY:Chicago Pride Fest
DESCRIPTION:Chicago Pride Fest is a two-day street festival on June 22-23\, 2024; the weekend before the Chicago Pride Parade (June 30\, 2024). The 23rd annual Chicago Pride Fest is a celebration of LGBTQ+ life\, culture and community in  Chicago’s landmark LGBTQ+ Northalsted neighborhood. \nPride Fest features live music on 3 stages\, a Youth Pride Space for teens\, best of Chicago drag performance\, the Proud Pet Parade with prizes\, dance exhibitions\, Chicago Gay Men’s Chorus\, guest speakers and over 150 food and merchandise vendors. \nA $15 suggested donation for entry helps pays performers and festival workers\, and supports local non-profits & community programs like the Chicago Pride Crosswalks; 14 rainbow paved intersections installed in 2019 that make up the longest installation of it’s kind in the world.

Enjoy movement\, a beach party\, DJ Rae Chardonnay’s beats\, and free healthcare services. \nThe day will kick off with Movement on the Beach workshops from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM\, featuring various activities to nurture your mind\, body\, and health. \nFrom 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM\, enjoy the Beach Party and Healthcare Village. Dance to the beats of Rae Chardonnay\, a DJ\, Arts Manager\, and events producer based in Chicago\, famous for co-founding the infamous Party Noire. Rae Chardonnay is known for her dynamic musical styling techniques and has held residencies at prominent venues in Chicago\, including the late Double Door\, The Promontory\, and Soho House. She has also opened for renowned acts such as Janelle Monae\, Jamila Woods\, and Megan Thee Stallion. \nWhile you enjoy the party\, you’ll also get access to free essential healthcare services such as testing\, COVID-19 and mpox vaccinations\, and various healthcare activations\, all provided to address the importance of holistic wellness. \nBlack LGBTQ+ Beach Day facilitates visibility\, empowerment\, and joy while fostering the health of our community. We deserve to thrive visibly and take up space!
